Leslie Carter was an American singer and songwriter who debuted through DreamWorks Records with the single “Like Wow!”. Leslie was a member of the band she founded, The Other Half from 2006 to 2009. She was widely known to be the sister of Nick Carter.

Leslie Carter was born on June 6, 1986 Tampa, Florida, U.S and died on January 31, 2012 Westfield, New York, U.S. She celebrated her birthdays on 6th June every year and was 25 years old by the time she died. Carter was the daughter of Jane Elizabeth Spaulding Carter and the late Robert Carter. She was the older sister of singer Aaron Carter and his twin sister Angel Carter Conrad and the younger sister of BJ Carter and Nick Carter.

Leslie Carter experienced mental illness and depression. With Aaron’s assistance, Leslie had intended to enter rehab for her addiction before she passed away. Leslie Carter passed away from all prescription drug overdose at the age of 25, six years after their programme ended. She passed away on January 31, 2012. She was survived by her father, mother, stepmother, seven siblings, husband of almost four years and 10-month-old daughter.

Carter signed a record deal with DreamWorks Records in 1999 and began recording her debut album. Her single “Like Wow!” appeared on the Shrek soundtrack and received minor radio airplay, peaking at No. 99 on the Billboard Hot 100. Carter started a small club tour in Canada in December 2005, and had a showcase in New York City on January 19, 2006. In late 2006, Carter founded the band The Other Half, which included her backup musicians Mike Ashton, DJ Porter, Casey Clowater, Paul Davidson, and Dave Thompson. The final line-up consisted of Carter (vocals), Ashton (drums), Jason Eldon (electric guitar), and Sean Smit (bass guitar and back-up vocals). In September 2009, the band mutually decided to split up. Carter was seen writing music and performing her own songs for her siblings on the family’s reality show House of Carters.
