SP Charan Early Life
The late renowned singer S.P Balasubrahmanyam and his spouse Savitri are the parents of Charan. He was born in Chennai. Pallavi is the eldest sister of Charan. She is a vocalist. He attended the ‘Asan Memorial CBSE School’ in Chennai, where he was classmates with well-known Tamil actor Ajithkumar. He took a 2-year course in Film and TV before earning a bachelor’s business administration degree from ‘Pace University’ in New York, USA, in 1994.

He began his singing career in 1996, working with renowned Indian composer ‘Isaignani Ilaiyaraja’. Charan formed the musical group “Next Generation” with his pals Venkat Prabhu & Premgi Amaren. SP Charan Controversy
After a meeting at a party in September (2011), Sona Heiden accused Charan of sexual assault. He filed a defamation counterclaim while out on bond. After Charan apologized, his father negotiated a settlement in which the matter was dropped. He remarried in early 2012 after his initial marriage ended in divorce. Late in 2010, Charan had a noticeable weight reduction. He said that it was because he was becoming more health-conscious.
